This project introduces the British Institute for Circularity. As a member in this system you are invited to learn about the principles of a ‘materials hostels’ and the use of the ‘collective knowledge’ to make objects. You will discover a selection of ‘improvised objects’ made through experimentation and observation with limited resources and tools. The project proposes and supports a networked and circular approach to sustainable living and production. The British Institute for Circularity focuses on the sustainability of our interactions with the environment and the precious resources it provides. Its policy is based on the development of human inventiveness to satisfy everyday needs by increasing one’s ability to repair, reuse and recycle. The Institute is organised in local communities sharing materials, tools and knowledge.
How far are we from embracing this mind-set?
