"In a world struggling with an overload of virtual connections and abstract systems, the concept of Pop-Up Makerlands has the potential to speak to so many people’s desire to work with their hands and side-by-side with others. Giving people the space to enjoy that experience also helps us break with the take-and-dispose culture that’s exacerbating many aspects of the social and environmental crises we face. This concept seems to me to be a fun and practical way of catalysing positive change – and an innovation in the pop-up phenomenon."
