London Design Biennale returned to Somerset House from 5-29 June 2025 for its 5th edition, showcasing world-leading design, innovation, creativity and research by exhibitors from across the globe. The three-week international exhibition featured curated installations accompanied by a programme of events, thought-leadership talks, performances and workshops.

The theme for 2025, ‘Surface Reflections’ by Artistic Director Dr Samuel Ross MBE, explored how ideas are fuelled by both our internal experiences and external influences. From sensory installations to radical ideas, visitors discovered a powerful exploration of identity, emotion, tradition, legacy and environment.

London Design Biennale opened daily from 11am-6pm with a special Friday Late on Friday 27 June 2025, including live music, food and drinks and special guests THE HERDS and Hampton University Choir.
